Many taxpayers, especially those that decide to prepare and file their tax returns on their own have questions about their return. These may have to do with the advanced Child Tax Credit, the third round of Economic Impact Payments or other issues.

The IRS has just announced that many of their Taxpayer Assistance Centers will be open on Saturday, April 9, 2022 for walk-in, face to face help. Normally face to face meetings at Taxpayer Assistance Centers is limited to weekdays only and by appointment.
Taxpayers should check with their local Taxpayer Assistance Center to confirm that it will be participating in this Saturday’s walk-in program. Taxpayers should also review the documentation that will be required by the IRS at https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/special-saturday-help-from-irs-available-without-an-appointment-on-april-9
